i think its just to explore how the strngth of the magnetic feild changes as x and theta change. and yes, also to determine if the theoretical equations are correct.

I've read the outline like a hundred times but I'm still confused as to the actual purpose of the two experiments. For the distance experiment was the only purpose to verify equation 8?
And for the angle experiment is it just to verify that the voltage is proportional to cos theta, or are we supposed to describe the relationship between the magnetic field and the angle?
