cm are okay. There is really no need to split the lab into two parts since each part isn't really that technical. However, if you feel that you need to then sure.

Is it alright if we split our procedure and analysis into Parts A and B? Also can we use cm for the distance from the field coil like what was used in the short lab report or do you want SI units for this?
